What are our teams?

Advocacy and Outreach Team

This team is dedicated to advancing the rights and visibility of the communities served by the Autonomy Project. They work on policy advocacy, mutual aid programs, community outreach, and public education campaigns to address issues facing marginalized groups. The team collaborates with community leaders, policymakers, and other organizations to push for social change and ensure that the voices of the underrepresented are heard and acted upon.

Building and Rentals Team

This team oversees the physical space of the Autonomy Project, including maintenance and management of rentals. Their work ensures that the facilities are not only well-maintained but also utilized to generate additional revenue through rentals, supporting the sustainability of the project.

Education Team

The Education Team develops and coordinates all educational programming, which includes workshops, seminars, and training sessions tailored to the needs of the community. This team works closely with experts and educators to bring relevant and empowering educational content to the members.

Events Team

Responsible for planning and organizing all events hosted by the Autonomy Project, the Events Team manages logistics, planning, ideas, coordination, and ensures that each event aligns with the project’s mission and values. This team plays a crucial role in bringing the community together and facilitating meaningful experiences.

Finance Team

The Finance Team handles all financial aspects of the Autonomy Project, from budgeting and accounting to financial planning and reporting. This team ensures financial stability and compliance with laws and regulations, providing a solid foundation for all organizational activities.

IT and Backend Team

Managing the digital infrastructure of the organization, the IT and Backend Team ensures that all technological systems function smoothly. This includes managing the website, internal communication tools, and data management systems, crucial for the efficient operation of the organization.

Marketing and Outreach Team

Focused on promoting the organization and enhancing community engagement, this team manages all marketing and public relations efforts. They develop and execute marketing campaigns, manage social media platforms, and engage with media to increase the visibility and impact of the Autonomy Project.

Merch and Diversification Team

This team is tasked with designing and selling merchandise, as well as developing diverse alternate fundraising initiatives to support the organization's activities. Their creative and strategic efforts help to raise funds that are vital for sustaining and expanding the project’s programs.

Volunteer Coordination Team

Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, this team ensures that volunteers are effectively integrated into various teams and roles. They play a critical role in maintaining a robust volunteer base, which is essential for the operation of numerous programs and events at the Autonomy Project.
